The men and the women of the Ohio Department of Public Safety will never forget those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We would like to remind all Ohioans that "If you See Something, Say Something". Report suspicious activity to 1-877-OHS-INTEL or for emergencies, call 911.
ODPS Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles Administrative Hearings
ODPS | BMV
An Administrative Hearing can be requested at any time after the receipt of the "First Notice of Suspension."
Requests for hearings must be made in writing to the address listed on the suspension notices.
A $30 check or money order for the hearing fee, made payable to "Treasurer, State of Ohio," is required at the time the hearing request is made. This fee is refunded if the petitioner's suspension is overturned.
The purpose of the hearing is to determine whether the person did in fact have financial responsibility on the date in question, or if not, whether the person meets one of the exemptions.
