Tobacco Violation

Ohio Revised Code Section 2151.354

Cause

          • When a person under 18 years of age is convicted of possessing, using, purchasing, or receiving cigarettes or other tobacco products.

Length of Suspension

          • Up to 30 days.

Appeal Procedures

          • None

Limited Driving Privileges

          • None

Reinstatement Requirements
          • Attend a youth smoking education program or other smoking treatment program approved by the court.
          • A fine of up to $100.00.
            * If the above requirements are not met, the court may also require:
          1. An increase in the fine.
          2. Perform not more than 20 hours of community service.
          3. License suspension for 30 days.
