Alcohol- and Drug-Related Suspensions

Habitual Use of Alcohol/Drugs Suspension

Driver has three or more convictions of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance in a three-year period.

Reinstatement Requirements

The suspension will stand until the driver:

  • Completes a treatment/rehabilitation program
  • Maintains six months of sobriety from date of treatment program completion
  • Submits a completed Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Alcohol/Drug Reinstatement (form BMV 2326)
